About Me
I am a multi-talented digital artist with about 15 years working experience in Digital Media/Arts industry and 12 years of teaching experience. I am currently lecturing digital art at 2 institutions in South Africa. I am currently a PhD student in Digital Art at the University of KwaZulu Natal (UKZN). The practical part of my ongoing research based on the use of digital portraiture as a form of political-historical documentation was exhibited in June 2018 at the International Symposium of Electronic Arts (ISEA) held in Durban and received great reviews. The work was also exhibited at the Jack Heath Art Gallery based at UKZN in Pietermaritzburg. I completed my Masters in Art at Witwatersrand University specialising in Digital Art - Animation. As part of my course outcomes, I produced a short animated film titled "Amoeba" that went on to win an award at the New York Festival International TV & Film Awards in 2014 and it was showcased as an official selection at many other film festivals around the world. In 2005 after completing my diploma in Graphic Design and New Media at the Zimbabwe Institute of Vigital Arts (ZIVA), I graduated at the top of my class overall.
